Zatuilla Nara, International Marketing Specialist -- Asia Team Leader 573/751-4999 Email: zatuilla.nara@ded.mo.gov (World Region - Asia/Pacific) Zatuilla Nara is the Asia Team Leader in the Office of International Marketing, joining the office in April 1995. Zatuilla's emphasis is in the Asia/Pacific region, with her territorial responsibilities including Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and Australia. She is also the liaison for the Japan and Korea offices of OIM. Prior to joining the State of Missouri, Zatuilla worked at Trane Singapore where she implemented marketing strategies in Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Additionally, she taught conversational English to Taiwanese businessmen for Jordans English School. Zatuilla's education includes a Masters of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management, also known as Thunderbird. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies. She is proficient in French, Chinese, and Indonesian. He assists Missouri companies in the international market through trade and catalogue shows and helps guide them in their exporting endeavors. Previously, Yan worked at the German company, Siemens, where he analyzed market opportunities, designed market strategy, developed medical engineering for the China market, and monitored ongoing projects. He later worked as a marketing analyst for the southern Missouri company Norpac. Yan's primary responsibility at Norpac was conducting market research. Yan attended school in China at Shanghai Teacher's College, where he eamed a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. He returned to school at Southwest Missouri State University to obtain a Master's of Business Administration in International Marketing. Meramec, Suite 1001 St. Louis, MO 63105 314/863-3335 Fax: 314/863-7091 Email: kando@ded.state.mo.us The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has named Mr. Koichi Ando as Senior Trade Advisor to the State of Missouri. In his new position, Mr. Ando will be based in St. Louis and work with the State of Missouri Department of Economic Development to assist local companies that have an interest in exporting/importing products and/or technology to Japan or developing and expanding partnership with Japanese companies. Mr. Ando has an extensive background in trade and industrial business development, primarily with Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. He joined the company in 1966 and has held managing positions involving everything from shipbuilding to environmental issues, bio-life-science technology and nanotechnology. Most recently, Mr. Ando served as General Manager of the Environment & Plant Business Development Department, responsible for the bio-life-science related business at the company's Tokyo headquarters. Mr. Ando has previously had a major assignment in the United States. He was stationed in New York as Vice President of the Shipbuilding & Environmental Related Sales Division of IHI Inc., from 1984-1990. JETRO Senior Trade Advisors are stationed in states where the potential is high for assisting business seeking to do business with Japan, and where the state trade or economic developmenet agencies have well-developed international trade outreach programs. Senior Trade Advisors work directly with local businesses. As with Mr. Ando, most are top business executives, selected for their ability to work with many companies with divergent sales agendas. The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a nonprofit, Japanese government-supported organization dedicated to promoting mutually beneficial trade and economic relationships between Japan and other nations. JETRO helps American companies develop exports to Japan through free consulting services, trade shows, trade missions and information on the Japanese market, and assists companies in developing and expanding their businesses in Japan. JETRO Chicago coordinates these activities for 11 states, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. |
